In South Africa an attempt to save, protect and broaden some of our most endangered species gene pool are happening. Most people don't agree with game breeding simply because they feel it's not a natural process. But if game farmers have not started to breed with game like Sable, African Buffalo and Rhino we would have not seen these animals in our nature reserves and parks. In order to create a bigger gene pool many game farmers have been relaying on other game farmers to produce simlar game in order to broaden the gene pools.

Here at Mulati Safari Camp we are extremely previlage to live right on nature's door step. We constantly see game close to camp but we never able to see youngsters like the star of our YouTube video today. Nyala's are found in South Africa, Botswana, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Swaziland. Ofter confused with their bigger cousins, the Kudu, Nyala's are quite shy animals who tends to live in the thickets than in the open plains.

The exciting new launce of the Culture and Heritage Shongololo Project took place at the 2012 Indaba that was hosted at the ICC in Durban the past week. We had quite a number of press releases and media briefings to attend and the two that’s most memorable were the live interview we had on the BBC UK tourism radio and the interview with Johnny Clegg the patron of the new Culture and Heritage Shongololo Project. The Murchison Leisure Group requested to be part of the implementation and rollout plan and will assist the Heritage and Culture Tourism Strategy.
