One of the antelope species that is part of our rarely seen antelope is the red hartebeest (Alcelaphus buselaphus caama). They are closely related to the tessebe and topi.
Hunting have been the main cause of the Red Hartebeest decline in numbers but now with better control over hunting permits this has started to change. These even-toed ungulate is found on the Southwestern side of Africa and of course found in the Limpopo province.

Here at Mulati Safari Camp we are extremely previlage to live right on nature's door step. We constantly see game close to camp but we never able to see youngsters like the star of our YouTube video today. Nyala's are found in South Africa, Botswana, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Swaziland. Ofter confused with their bigger cousins, the Kudu, Nyala's are quite shy animals who tends to live in the thickets than in the open plains.

The Sable breeding project was introduced to Mulati Safari Camp, Limpopo, South Africa. It was an initiative taken to expand on the already diverse antelope species available to see on the property. A start-up herd of females, female calves and one bull was introduced. It was felt that having one of Africa’s most majestic antelope species on the conservancy would create new excitement amongst guests visiting and allow them the opportunity to see them in real life.
